Introduction
Recombinant human FGF-4 protein is a recombinant growth factor designed for in vitro research, widely used in cell culture and organoid-related studies to support cell growth and functional analysis.
Background
Fibroblast growth factor 4 (FGF-4) is a member of the FGF superfamily involved in early embryonic development and stem cell regulation. It contributes to cell proliferation, differentiation, and lineage specification.
FGF-4 supports the maintenance and self-renewal of pluripotent stem cells and enhances proliferation of neural stem cells and mesenchymal stem cells. It functions synergistically with WNT signaling in the formation of posterior endoderm and intestinal organoids from pluripotent stem cells.
Recombinant FGF-4 is commonly used in directed differentiation protocols, particularly for modeling early embryonic and intestinal development in vitro.
